Can my 4 or 5 year-old learn drums?

Based on our experience, a weekly class for a 4 or 5 year-old is not as productive. At this age, children are not yet accustomed to left-right coordination, counting bars, or hand-foot combinations. Additionally, they are physically smaller, which may result in poor posture development that can be difficult to correct later on. Therefore, we recommend starting at 6 years of age or above.
