Trevor Koh Centre Manager

Back in 2011, Trevor Koh enrolled for his first drum lesson at My Drum School’s Beginner Programme under the tutelage of Mr. James Pang. His heavy 60s and 70s rock-influence led him to pick up the drums only at a late age of 22. With zero drumming experience, he worked his way from being a Part-Time Drum Educator, Drum Educator, Centre Officer, and to a Centre Manager.

Trevor firmly believes that everyone should be given an opportunity to learn drums and experience music through the instrument itself. His students describe him as engaging, creative, and enthusiastic. Trevor also has a great bond with a handful of students with special needs and he wants to impart life values to the younger ones beyond just teaching drumming.

He recently graduated in 2017 and obtained his Associate Diploma in Drums, making him the first ‘home-grown” MDS student to graduate with an Associate Diploma. Today, Trevor is a Centre Manager with his own schedule of about fifty students.
